Pratibha or not?

While a lot have been written against Pratibha's nomination to be India's next President, there is someone who thinks that she will definitely win too. There have even been banners against Pratibha, like this one here.

I am not a politics person and I may not be right in passing any opinion, but I feel that such campaigns should be raised against a lot of ministers and officials too and not only when it comes to the country's top-post. Even when she was a governor, such campaigns should have been up and running. Truth may or may not triumph for the time being, but I believe that truth will always have the last laugh, come what may.

On the other hand, just because a woman is nominated for President, it does not mean that women get a lot of respect in this country. Infact, its the women who demean themselves most of the time, though there are some women-crushing males too - ok, that's a separate topic which I am thinking over for a long time.
